“The perfect binding was one capability that we had to outsource and the growing requirement for books made this investment necessary,” said Shivraj J Shetty, managing director of Mangala Process.

The post press facility has a Horizon folder, an Itoteck guillotine and a Hohner exact plus- saddle stitching machine.

“The choice of Horizon was mainly due to the impeccable after sales service and support that Proteck has been providing for the other equipment that we had procured from them and add to that the ease-of-use and precision of the machine,” said Shetty.

The Horizon BQ 270VFC perfect binder's several unique features include the automatic book thickness measuring among others and produces books up to 50mm thickness at a maximum speed of 500 cycles per hour.
