This year, the show will host latest innovations, techniques, products and solutions to give products real aspiration, look and feel. Fresh content and features for this year’s show include the great innovation debate, innovation wall, brand innovation programme, and much more.

The show is growing year-on-year and with over 50 exhibitors dedicated to materials, decorations, techniques and products, plus over 120 suppliers in packaging innovations. Luxury Packaging London helps decision makers secure business targets, brand awareness and company growth.

Several companies are using Packaging Innovations and Luxury Packaging show as a launch pad for new products. Quadpack will unveil a line of aluminium and wood sheathed droppers that cover bottles. The 30ml packs have a viewing window to see the product. Also on display at the event, Quadpack’s new liquid foundation range, under the Q-Line brand.

Smurfit Kappa will be launching its new KartonFlute Lite. At 750 microns, the company said it offers quality offset printing with tight registration and finer screens for better detail and colour fidelity. The product does not have the set-up costs associated with pre-print or litho laminated corrugated board, according to the company.

Amberley claims to offer total grease resistance with its new self-adhesive paper, Tintoretto Gesso greaseproof labels, while Winter & Company will launch Touche, a soft covering material with a silky matt finish for luxury packaging.

Alison Church, director, Easyfairs UK packaging portfolio event, said, “Print will be in focus this year and we have a lot of paper suppliers showing several interesting finishes. The show guide front cover would sport the new Touche material from Winter & Company, black on one side and white on the other.”

She added, “New features will run alongside established show favourites surrounded by around 175 exhibitors. One of the new elements will be the brand innovation programme.”

Nine creative agencies, including Webb Devlam London and Icicle Group, will discuss how to develop brands with high-quality packaging design.

The Retail Institute, meanwhile, will chair a new great innovation debate, exploring the term 'innovation' in relation to packaging.

Also new for this year is the rising star scheme, which tries to help young brands or start-ups find the right suppliers and products to enhance their brands.
