Kyoorius Design Showcase, a portfolio compilation of the design studios based in India, is an initiative to bridge the gap between design studios and their potential clients by helping the buyers find the right partner for their needs.

Unveiling the book, Rajesh Kejriwal, founder and chief executive officer at Kyoorius, said, “The introductory copy of the book contained 89 design firms which has gradually increased to 129, 150 and 180 in the second, third and fourth edition respectively.

The fourth edition witnessed only five firms drop out with 80 percent firms retaining their stance and an addition of 20 percent of new firms, which explains that the design industry has been welcoming such an initiative.”

“From the feedback we have received in the last few years, we are glad that the Kyoorius Showcase Book has grown to become a must have resource book for all corporates. I would like to thank all the contributors who helped bring this edition together and hope that this hardback, like the others, helps add value to all businesses and brands,”  added Kejriwal.

As a result of the increasing number of firms and their content, the fourth book has been divided into two parts, first comprising of studios in the North and South and the second in East and West.

This is also the first year when the biennially published book has been made available via a digital version, which will also allow studios to regularly update their work.

“To cater to the increasing demand, we have printed 3,000 copies, a 50 percent increase over the last edition, which will be made available complimentary to design schools, business schools and media agencies. The third edition of the Showcase Book helped generate business worth over Rs 9.4 crore for studios showcased in the book and we are positive that with an all the more exhaustive list this year, we’ll be able to tap higher numbers,” concluded Kejriwal.

Another initiative by Kyoorius which helped the design industry congregate was the recently concluded DesignYatra. The ninth edition held in August 2013, in Goa, witnessed 1,350 delegates  which included designers, chief marketing officers, brand managers, students and young professionals, focus on “creating a change”, the theme of DesignYatra 2013.
