KMPA conduct industry orientation course

Kerala Master Printers Association (KMPA) kick started a unique training initiative where orientation course for recently passed out and recruited students was given.

“Being a responsible association of printers, we are conducting this orientation class for them (students) and it is our duty to impart trainees with basic knowledge about printing, statutory and other standard operating procedures which they have to follow in the printing units,” said G Rajesh,  honorary secretary of KMPA.

Around 20 students from ITI, VHSS, ASAP and Community College participated in the programme which took place from 6 November to 9 November at KMPA hall.

“This is yet another initiative taken by Kerala Master Printers Association, the orientation course has been well-received and the passed out candidates are now recruited for one-year practical training in KMPA member's unit,” added Rajesh.

The candidates also underwent an end of course exam and the toppers were given cash award.

“We have already started plans for the second batch of this programme and will announce dates soon,” concluded Rajesh.
