ITC’s stationery honcho inaugurates Line O Matic RB104

A K Chowdhary, head of operation - stationery division, ITC set the ball rolling at the Line O Matic (LOM) stall. Choudhary started the LOM’s Nova RB 104 an upgraded fully automatic exercise book machine after cutting the customary red ribbon.

Chowdhary said, “Earlier notebook making machine were imported from Germany which were expensive and finding spare parts was a tedious task. LOM has given the domestic notebook manufacturers a solution which is comparatively affordable and servicing is no longer a major worry.”

He added, “India is growing economy and with increased literacy rates and major focus on quality education. We see growth in the requirement of high-quality notebooks. We respect and laud LOM’s efforts towards promoting education through the social channels.”

Nova RB 104 which is upgraded version of the machine which was showcased at PrintPack India 2011. According to the manufacturer, the speed of the machine has been improved for faster turnaround. The machine is equipped with automatic inking system and automatic pilling station which was missing in its predecessor.

Uday Patel, director at LOM, said, “The unique feature is the SMS notification facility and embedded internet connectivity which allows the user to remotely access the machine.”
