The company which has two 1,100 sqft units in the city installed the machine at its Chamarajpet centre where it will produce short-run jobs for walk in customers.

Futura's partner Harish Kumar said: "The ability to produce 70 litho-quality colour pages a minute takes us into new markets. The Creo software is easier to handle and good for preps and creating hot folders." Futura operates two Xerox 5000 and a Xerox 700 - and caters to 250-plus customers daily.

Partner and elder brother, Shiv Kumar added: "The auto duplex quality on coated stock of the C7000VP - and the multiple-feeder allows us to produce a variety of prints."

The Canon which replaced a Nexpress 2100, is producing invitation cards, certificates, CD covers, visualaids, newsletters, boolets, stickers and educational publications.
