Autoprint notches 50 installations of mini offset presses in Gorakhpur

Autoprint, the Coimbatore-based manufacturer has notched up more than 50 installations of mini offset print machines in Gorakhpur, a town in eastern UP.

C N Ashok, director commercial of Autoprint who has driven the print revolution in the B and C-tier towns said: Out of the 50-machines installed, we have six customers who have installed more two machines."

He added: "At Autoprint, the marketing at rural and semi-urban places have been rewarding and this is one such example."

Autoprint expects many more orders for its four-colour and two-colour press during this year. Ashok said: "The semi-urban and rural parts of India is growing and Autoprint has been focusing on this market segment."

Autoprint has made in-roads in this market since the past decade. Some of the prominent installations are at Gita Press (four machines), Thakur Mahatom Rao (four machines), Print Point and Barathiya Bhaio Ka Dukan (three machines), Bombay Offset Printers and B K Printers (two machines).

Autoprint has a range of presses which caters to this segment. This includes: the 1510 Colt (single-colour), 1520 Colt (single-colour) and Knight (single-colour). There's also the Dino 250 (a two-colour press).

The 15-year old company has installed 7,620 machines till March 2010. This includes numbering machines and packaging presses.
