PrintPack 2019: Acme to introduce new features on its flagship folder-gluer

Mumbai-based, Acme Machinery will introduce new modules for its Epic carton folder-gluer. This includes features like barcode system, carton inspection and carton ejector system.

Ketan Shah, director, Acme Machinery, said, “The key operation of this machine is to fold pre-printed, die-cut duplex and corrugated boxes, and then glue them with lock-bottom.”

The carton folder-gluer machine is built with a heavy duty body for minimum vibration at a higher speed for accuracy of cartons. It boasts of a Speed 300-350 metres per min.

It ensures minimal glue dot and it also consists of a plasma system for UV printed Cartons.  

According to Shah, the carton folder-gluer machine helps in an easier job change-over with a 100% pre-folding accuracy and can be operated using a cordless remote control.     

“We are also developing features for four-corner and six-corner cartons,” added Shah.  

Acme boasts of 500 installations. Few of the top names in its clientele include Pine Tree Packaging, Rich Offset, and HBD Packaging, among others.
