The machine, which had a soft launch a year ago, has been launched commercially at Labelexpo India.

The label production press is available in various configurations as per the requirements based on colours (CMYK/W), and with print width of 216mm and 324mm. It also comes with customised inline/offline finishing and converting options.

Established in 2004, Barcom employs more than 200 people at sites in Vasai and Mumbai, with a further facility under construction in Odisha. In addition to labels, the company manufactures tags, pouches, and speciality products including barcode, QR and security labels, and re-closures, with annual revenues of Rs 75-crore.

A 216mm Colornovo press can produce over 150,000 sq/mt and a 324mm press can produce over 250,000 sq/mt of jobs per month at a resolution of 600x600dpi and speeds up to 70m/min with 10 hours shift per day, 25 days per month.

According to Jimit Mittal of Monotech Systems, Colornovo has been projected as a cutting-edge technology available at competitive capital and operating cost. “The Jetsci Colornovo is a flexible solution in terms of investment, substrate flexibility, no click cost, low running costs. It is highly productive,” he said.

Other products at Monotech stall during Labelexpo include Jetsci KolorSmart, which is again a digital colour label production systems for short runs and Jetsci digital label finishing system.
