The machine had a soft launch a year ago, and it has been launched commercially at Labelexpo India.

The label production press is available in various configurations as per the requirements based on colours (CMYK/W), and with print width of 216mm and 324mm. It also comes with customised inline/offline finishing and converting options.

Colornovo is based on the drop-on-demand UV Inkjet printhead technology from Kyocera, Japan.

A 216mm Colornovo press can produce over 150,000 sq/mt and a 324mm press can produce over 250,000 sq/mt of jobs per month at a resolution of 600x600dpi and speeds up to 70m/min with 10 hours shift per day, 25 days per month.

“The idea behind launching Colornovo was to bring the technology at highly competitive capital and operating cost,” said Jimit Mittal of Monotech. “The JETSCI Colornovo is a flexible solution in terms of investment, substrate flexibility, no click cost, low running costs. It is highly productive.”

Incorporated in 2000, Wonderpac manufactures and supplies a wide range of labels and holograms, is known for the quality of its products, timely delivery and reasonable market leading prices.

Other products at Monotech stall during Labelexpo include JETSCI KolorSmart, which is again a digital colour label production systems for short runs and JETSCI digital label finishing system.
