Prakash Dhameja, managing director, Gerresheimer Plastic Packaging India, who received the CII Customer Obsession Award on behalf of the company, said, "We believe in innovative packaging solutions and are committed to working closely with our customers. Even under the extreme conditions caused by the Covid-19 outbreak, we managed to meet or exceed our customers' expectations. I would like to thank all employees for their extraordinary commitment, and I am very proud to receive this award on behalf of the workforce and the Gerresheimer Group."

Triveni’s Kundli facility, which has been part of the Gerresheimer Group since 2012, specialises in plastic containers and closures for solid medications. The company has further strengthened its production capacity for plastic containers in the country with a new plant at Kosamba, Gujarat.

The company’s portfolio includes screw-cap and snap-on containers and closures with child-proof and senior-friendly features among other products. The containers and closures are produced from polymers such as HDPE, LDPE, PP and PET for the primary packaging of a range of medicines and cosmetic products.

Besides this, the Gerresheimer Plastic Packaging division said that it is committed to the use of PET bottles made from up to 100 per cent recycled plastic. With its BioPack offering, the firm is set to offer renewable raw materials to produce pharmaceutical packages made from sugar cane.
