This is my first-time visit to a Labelexpo show. A commercial printer in Kochi, I am planning to diversify into labels, because there are small condiment brands in Kerala which require short-run labels, and there are no label printers in Kerala. Moreover, the commercial print segment is now flush with new multicolour sheetfed presses, most of them in the last two years.

I have seen the flexo presses, both Indian and international, and am impressed with the show. I also saw the new Konica Minolta digital label press, which seems like the right fit. But, I will return and weigh my options, before making the decision, considering that producing labels is a complex process.

This is my first visit to Labelexpo. My colleagues attended the previous shows. It’s a policy of our company, giving everyone an opportunity to visit such shows.

We have both flexo and screen machines that produce labels under the brand Kavach. These have anti-counterfeiting and security features.

I had expected to see all the technologies under one roof. They definitely are there. I also saw a few good barcode machines that can generate reports as well, which perhaps will be of interest to us.

I am impressed by the show, but I was expecting more crowds. All in all, a good show.
