Tetra Pak India appoints Manohar as managing director

Tetra Pak has appointed Ashutosh Manohar as the managing director for its South Asia Markets.

As the managing director, Manohar will be responsible for Tetra Pak’s business operations in South Asia Markets including India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bhutan. Ashutosh will be based at the Tetra Pak India headquarters in Gurgaon.

Manohar succeeds Kandarp Singh and takes over the role effective from 1 June 2018. Singh will now lead Tetra Pak Services business for the South Asia, East Asia and Oceania cluster and will be based in Bangkok, Thailand.

Manohar said, “This is a very exciting time for South Asia Markets and it is an important growth market for Tetra Pak. I’m very excited to take on the role and be part of this journey. I believe it is innovation and our end-to-end solutions approach that will be the game-changer for us.” 

With an overall experience of three decades, Manohar has held a variety of management and leadership positions at Tetra Pak across Europe and Asia for over 16 years. In his last assignment, he was vice president - carton value and carton economy in Italy, where he was instrumental in product development, deployment and ensuring product profitability. Prior to this, he was managing director of Iran and cluster leader for marketing and product management, Greater Middle East.

From enhanced visual and tactile appeal in packaging, introduction of new categories like ready-to-drink ORS and coconut water, distribution services, business and marketing insights, solutions for bringing down systems cost for customers, to remote monitoring services for higher plant productivity, we have an unmatched end-to-end value proposition for our customers. Driven by this rich portfolio, my focus will be on strengthening our customer partnerships and help them differentiate and grow their businesses,” Manohar added.

Tetra Pak has completed 30 years of operations in India in 2018.
