The firm says users can find answers to all queries pertaining to papers in the app

In a bid to revive interaction with its customers during the lockdown, fine papers specialist Sona Papers has launched a mobile app, which the company says is capable of providing all details to paper queries such as application, usability, paper FAQs, paper availability, colour choices to mention a few.

According to the New Delhi-based firm, one can easily navigate the app to fetch the answer to their queries pertaining to papers.

Raju Suneja, director marketing at Sona Papers, said, “The new mobile-based app is another step towards creating ease of customers accessibility to our product and services. The motive of creating the app is to reach out to the millennials with modern day communication mode."

Sona Papers has been in the market for more than five decades now and has been one of the pioneers in specialty paper categories. It has been known for bringing various categories of creative graphic papers, recycled papers, and sustainable papers from various countries.

"The business community is increasingly aware of its responsibility and accountability for maintaining standards of ethical, social and environmental performance. With the demand for environmentally-friendly printed products on the rise, Sona has always been pioneering in bringing sustainable papers to the design and print communities in the country," the company stated in a press note shared with PrintWeek.

"Paper is still the best medium of communication if a company wants to promote environment-friendly communication. The pulp, paper and print sector is one of the lowest industrial emitters of GHG emissions compared to the Information and Communication Technology," it added.

In a similar move, ITC Paperboards and Specialty Papers Division (ITC PSPD) launched its Papyra mobile app to assist customers in making the right decision for packaging, graphic and specialty applications.

The mobile application was designed in such a way that customers can choose products based on their application or end-use. The user interface is bundled with intuitive features and calculators, which calculates tonnage and cross direction stiffness of the boards or paper. It also makes recommendations to the users based on the dimensions of the carton.
