“When we decided to bring our pre-press production in-house, the choice was clear – Heidelberg was our top preference,” said Rajasekar, managing partner at Gupta Printers. “During our visits to several major packaging printshops, we noticed a significant number of printers are using the Heidelberg Suprasetter A106 platesetter and Prinect workflow. Witnessing the trust in the durability was convincing. The equipment has been efficient and has helped to grow and enable faster service to our customers.”
Established in 1950, Gupta Printers specialises in printed stickers, brochures, printed labels, sweet boxes, shirt packaging boxes, saree packaging boxes, pharmaceutical boxes, cosmetic boxes, and gift boxes across various segments.
Gupta Printers has a Heidelberg CD 102 Speedmaster 4+L press, two die-cutters, and a folder-gluer, among other packaging converting machines. Rajasekar said, “Currently, we are in the expansion mode, have shifted to our 15,000 sq/ft production facility and are looking forward to additional development.”
The Suprasetter offers a minimum plate format of 370-mm height × 323-mm width and internal punch up to four pairs. The Prinect Pre-Press Manager, Prinect Meta Dimension, and Prinect Shooter are integrated workflows in the Heidelberg Suprasetter A106.
According to Rajasekar, the modular design of the Suprasetter A106 supplies maximum flexibility for the medium-size format range. “Their intelligent diode system (IDS) virtually cuts production losses. An integrated cooling system prevents adverse impacts from external temperatures.”
Rajasekar believes the investment will help his company to fulfil the growing demand. “The Heidelberg Suprasetter has enhanced our productivity to a larger scale,” concluded Rajasekar.
