Siegwerk India has joined the PrintWeek Awards 2025 as Associate Partner, highlighting the role of inks in shaping print quality and innovation. Singh said, “Ink is not just about colour on paper or packaging. It is the heart of how brands connect with consumers. Award-winning print quality depends on inks that deliver consistency, vibrancy and performance across diverse substrates and processes. By sponsoring the Awards, we are reinforcing the message that safety and innovation in inks play a central role in raising the bar for the industry.”
The company is investing in water-based and low-VOC inks that reduce environmental impact without compromising quality. Singh stated, “Our latest water-based inks are engineered to provide the same colour vibrancy and durability as solvent-based solutions, but with a much cleaner footprint. Printers do not have to choose between award-worthy quality and responsible innovation.”
Sustainability is central to Siegwerk’s portfolio. Its safe and sustainable inks are designed to help printers balance customer expectations with regulatory requirements. Singh explained, “Our technologies help printers achieve the bold colours, fine details and durability that win awards, while reducing waste, lowering emissions and supporting circularity. It is proof that sustainability and excellence can go hand in hand.”
Recent innovations are tailored to the growth of flexible packaging in India. Siegwerk has developed inks for high-speed printing that maintain sharpness and colour accuracy at faster rates, along with specialty coatings and barrier solutions that add functionality and visual appeal. Singh said, “These innovations give printers the freedom to push creative boundaries while maintaining consistency and sustainability.”
Research and development remain central to Siegwerk’s strategy. With global hubs and local teams in India, the company continues to anticipate new needs in substrates, sustainability and brand communication. Singh stated, “The PrintWeek Awards celebrate those who bring innovation, creativity and excellence to life. Our R&D focus, from circular packaging solutions to next-generation substrates, is aligned with this ethos. Our sponsorship is not just about celebration, it is about fuelling the industry’s innovation journey.”
