Shailja displays paper to help think out-of-box

The distributor of papers and paperboard, both for the commodity and specialty segments, Shailja Paper of New Delhi is showcasing a variety of its packaging offerings, that the company says, compels both the print production designers as well as print packagers to think out-of-box packages.

“The benefits of our products range from producing quality products that will ensure on-time delivery, reduced inventories to enhanced product appeal and convenience,” said Shailja Papers’ managing director Dharmesh Mehta.
 
Mehta said, the challenge is to create paper that is not only visually exciting, but also one that can be printed and post-print finished. “Our range of Fevini specialty papers has those qualities,” he said.
 
Besides Favini, Shailja has a distribution rights for 23 other domestic and international brands of papers, including India’s BILT and International Papers and Marbel PU and PVC products.
 
At the show, Shailja is looking to reach out to its direct customers, the print buyers as well s the print-packaging company who produce packaging for the print buyers. “We hope to convey our message of that good papers in effect adds importance to a product’s packaging, one that will get the shoppers to pick up the produce, examine it and put it in their shopping cart,” said Mehta.
 
The FSC certified, Shailja also caters to requirements of publishers and commercial printers and supplies 50,000tpa, of which about one tonne is specialty papers. It has two warehouses in Delhi and one in Mumbai, and is expanding its operation with a new operation in Hyderabad.
