Anthony said, in a recession, one of the first businesses to take the hit on the frontline is print. Hence, a printer must diversify into packaging printing.

The Redlands stall, which was teeming with visitors, has a raft of packaging machines, all with high amount of automations. This is the first time Redlands has exhibited machines with immense amount of automations. These includes an entire rigid box-making line consisting of an automatic four-side notching machine, a four-side corner pasting machine, being shown for the first time, a semi-automatic gluing machine and a wrapping and tucking machine, also on display for the first time.

Also, a Petratto Metro 78 with a new mosquito-feeding feature is being showcased, along with a hamburger box-making machine and Mohr paper guillotine machine.

Redlands has around five to six installations of the basic rigid box making machinery all across India. Already, it seems, Redlands has finalised several deals for its rigid box-making machines and will be disclosed soon.
