Ramprasad joins Fujifilm; targets graphic arts

In a change of leaderships, Fujifilm has announced two key appointments; Yasunobu Nishiyama as the managing director and S M Ramprasad as the assistant vice president of the India operations.

Nishiyama, who was associated with Fujifilm Malaysia as the managing director has assumed his current position since 27 August 2014 and Ramprasad, who was Epson India’s general manager – consumer and commercial products group, assumed office since 1 December 2014.

Ramprasad has the onerous task of driving the graphic arts division at Fujifilm. “The opportunity in the Indian print industry is ample. And the technology that Fujifilm has to offer across the pre-press and the wide-format segment are in tandem with the current requirements of the industry; environment-friendly and robust.”

Some of the highlights, according to Ramprasad, for Fujifilm is its range HD Pro-T3 plates and the upcoming launch – Flenex range of water washable flexo plate for the packaging and label market.
