PrintPack 2019: Komori clinches 11 deals

Komori India has announced that it has sold at least 11 printing presses during PrintPack India 2019. These include three overseas deals.

Lucknow-based Amber Press booked two four-colour Komori GL 37-inch printing presses. Wafa Abbas, director, Amber Press, said, “Being an existing customer of Komori, we were aware of the technology and after-sale services. We have multiple pre-owned printing presses and wanted to retire them with two new presses. Both the machines will be installed within the next two months.”

Haridwar-based Omega Print-O-Pack has finalised Komori five-colour GL 40-inch press with online coater. Sandeep Jain of Omega Print-O-Pack said, “The machine will be installed by the end of April. We needed a press to meet our increasing printing demands. Being an existing customer, we have hands-on experience with Komori machines. Our existing Komori was installed four years back. Right now, we are converting 200-tonne of paper per month and after the installation of new machine we will be converting around 600-tonne per month, a 300% increase.”

Patparganj Industrial Area, Delhi-based Royal Offset has finalised a Komori five-colour GL 37-inch press with online coater.

Surat-based Metro Plus picked up a Komori four-colour GL 37-inch with online coater. The press, displayed at the exhibition, will be installed at its facility. Birju Talati of Metro Plus said, “This is our first new printing press and we are expecting to double our production from 25-tonne to 50-tonne per month. All of our existing pre-owned printing presses are from Komori and we have hands-on experience on the machines.”

Surat-based Madhvi Offset opted for a four-colour Komori GL 37-inch press with coater. Nirav Viroja of Madhvi Offset said, “This is our first brand new machine and it will be installed in March. Being a short run printer, we will be printing around 90 jobs per day and the rung length of per job will be from 500 to 1000 sheets.”

Modinagar-based MM Printers has finalised a six-colour Komori GL 37-inch press equipped with online UV coater. Glenn Wong, director, MM Printers, said, “We opted for machine because we wanted of print other substrates except paper. Being a part of Modi Group, we have to produce packaging products on different type of substrates. We will produce packaging products for phamra, cosmetic, alcohol and other industries.”

Jitender Rohilla, AGM, national sales, Komori India, said, “We have finalised 11 printing presses at the exhibition. It shows the belief and confidence of printers in Komori technology and after-sale services. Being a responsible manufacturer, we are committed towards a green environment and that’s why we are promoting our G series presses.”

At the show Komori also gave live demos of two printing presses – Komori Enthrone 429 and Komori GL 437 with online coater.
