DGM plans to have sales, service and manufacturing in India

Narendra Paruchari of Pragati Pack said, “We have all the capabilities of folder-gluer in our plant except motorised and memorised function, which is the need of the hour. We found DGM suitable to feed all capabilities, which we need with memorised function. The professional and positive approach of DGM management helps us to take this decision in their favour.

Puneet Agarwal, managing director, DGM India, added, “The deal with the Hyderabad-based packaging company shows the competence of our products.”

SmartFold 1100PC can process straight line, crash lock bottom and double wall boxes. This folder-gluer can handle solid board up to 800-gsm and E, F & N corrugated cartons up to 20-mm folded thickness at the maximum speed of 400-m/min.

“The memorised function of the machine helps in faster makeready as conveyor movements are with press of button and once the job is set, we can save the job and can recall whenever is repeat. When we recall the setting, conveyors will automatically start moving from section to section. No more hassle of moving conveyors by handle and maintain a log book,” Agarwal added.

Established in 1985, DGM has more than 5,000 installations globally. It started a new 13,000-sqm facility in Guangdong Province, China in 2004. Now the company plans to have complete sales, service and manufacturing in India to capitalise on the potential of the Indian market.
