The Cron CtCP, which replaces the Agfa CTP, uses 30x40-inch plates from TechNova and Fuji.

Most of JMD’s clients come from segments like: calendar, commercial printing and book publishing.

“The customers have been demanding plates which are priced lower but with relatively good quality. Besides the cost of production, the Cron CtCP is also good on speed. Of the total 700 plates produced, we fire around 400 plates on the CtCP,” said Deepak Arora, CEO of JMD.

The over decade and a half old JMD serves Delhi and the NCR and besides the platesetters, also provides proofing services through its Epson Stylus Pro 9600 and 9900 wide-format printers. For quick client service, the processing house uses its in-house FTP server.

The Rs 3-crore turnover firm operates from a 6,000 sq/site and employs 25 persons to handle operations.

Arora also mixes business with association activities. He is presently the vice-president of Delhi Printers Association.
