Popli Graphics demonstrates anilox cleaning

Creative Graphics hosted a week-long Open House from 10–16 November 2025, where Popli Graphics demonstrated laser anilox cleaning to printers, converters and pre-press visitors seeking clarity on modern maintenance technology

The Open House held at Creative Graphics between 10 and 16 November 2025 drew an encouraging turnout from printers, converters, pre-press specialists and OEM representatives.

According to Aashna Popli of Popli Graphics, “The main objective was to give printers a real, close-up understanding of what laser cleaning can achieve compared to traditional chemical-based methods. The clarity people got after seeing results firsthand was far more impactful than any brochure or presentation could have been.”

Throughout the live demonstrations, attendees raised focused technical queries.

A significant part of the event was dedicated to before-and-after cleaning trials. Popli confirmed that “multiple before-after tests were conducted” and added that an individual report was generated for each anilox roller cleaned. What stood out to most visitors, she said, was “how consistently the cell walls were cleaned even on extremely dirty rolls.

Printers were surprised to see volume recovery without any damage to the ceramic surface.” Complementing these tests were practical print trials, which offered immediate visual proof of the benefits. “The improvement in ink release, consistency, and overall print quality clearly demonstrated the advantage of laser cleaning,”  Popli said.

Visitors also responded to the operational advantages of the system’s design. Popli highlighted that the “no chemicals, no water, no mess” nature of the technology was a major talking point. She added that the process requires zero consumables, no recycling, and carries no risk of cell damage while offering high repeatability, quick turnaround and assured consistency.

She also clarified that the technology is universally compatible across engravings and ink systems. “The machine has absolutely no limitations on LPI, cell shape or ink type. It handles water-based, UV, and solvent inks with equal efficiency. Whether the roller is 300 LPI or 1200 LPI, the cleaning performance remains consistent, safe, and highly effective.”

The Open House also helped clear several misconceptions commonly seen in the Indian market. “Many printers still believe deep cleaning is needed only when print quality drops, whereas proactive maintenance actually saves far more,” Popli said. She added that another misconception—that laser cleaning is too harsh—was dispelled effectively during the live sessions.

Popli expects momentum to build rapidly. As she summed it up, “We expect much faster adoption now.”
