Established in 2016, the corrugation company has diversified into the mono cartons business and installed a six-colour coater 28x40-inches printing press to cater the mono carton business.

Raman Agarwal, managing partner, Mahalaxmi Packaging, said, “We found that converting is the most important part of mono cartons production and the segment requires good quality equipment. Bobst is a renowned name in the industry because of its quality and consistency. The market gave us this feedback."

The machine is equipped with 4 and 6 corner attachments and a special corrugation kit with extended delivery.

“As packaging is a new segment for us, we want to offer fast and on-time service to our customers and that kind of service requires excellent equipment,” Agarwal said, adding, “Another reason to invest in Bobst was because of its best-in-class after sales service and process knowledge."

Mahalaxmi converts 450 tons of kraft per month and is planning to convert 150-200 duplex in its mono cartons business. Agarwal said, “Baddi is a packaging hub, especially for pharma packaging. We diversified into mono cartons on the request of our customers to fulfil their needs of packaging.”

He added, “Right now, we are serving to pharma, fashion and cycle industries and after adding mono cartons, our portfolio will be expanded. We are expecting 15-20% of growth after adding mono cartons business in our portfolio.”

Raman Agarwal and Prashant Mittal are two managing partners in Mahalaxmi Packaging. Established in 2016, the company wants to serve the entire requirement of its clients for corrugation and mono cartons.

Arvind Dhand of Bobst India said, “Pamex 2023 is a good show for us. We have booked four machines, including Manaser-based DJS Printers’s Novafold 110 A2 with four- and six-corner and corrugation kit for its new plant in Silvassa, and Indore-based Aaradhya Papers (part of Sri Kriscon Industries) has ordered the Expertfold 110 A2. We are thankful to the industry and convertors for their belief and support.”
