Brijesh Puri, founder of Packnology, explained that the company’s focus is on providing turnkey solutions that address the rising costs of manpower and the industry-wide shift toward shorter production runs. The company, headquartered in New Delhi, with service hubs in Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad, is demonstrating how digital integration can streamline complex packaging workflows.

A primary feature of the Packnology exhibit is the digital embellishment system, which allows for decorative finishes to be applied 100% digitally. Puri noted that traditional methods for producing such labels typically require four separate machines — a printer, a foiler, a cutter, and a slitter — each necessitating its own setup and operator. The new all-in-one system reduces this requirement to a single operator, lowering production time and complexity for high-end labels. Packnology confirmed that three units were sold before the show, indicating strong market demand for digital embellishment.

The company is also demonstrating several other flagship units designed for varied packaging needs. This includes a digital label machine intended as an entry-level integrated solution for printing and slitting, and a roll-to-roll digital cutter that incorporates lamination.

For rigid packaging, the company is showcasing a flatbed digital cutter, which handles materials such as monocartons, magnets, and sunboard. These machines collectively represent Packnology’s strategy of focusing on the high-growth areas of digital printing and finishing.

In addition to operational efficiency, the move toward automation is presented as a response to sustainability goals. Puri emphasised that automated, digital-first solutions help reduce the industry’s carbon footprint by minimising waste and optimising resource use. He observed that as manpower costs rise and the demand for short-run, personalised packaging increases, the industry is actively seeking green and automated technologies to stay competitive.

Packnology intends to continue expanding its portfolio with several more products currently in the pipeline for 2026.
