The centrepiece of New Delhi-based NMC Engineers’ stall at CorruPack 2026 was an automated fingerless corrugation machine designed for E-flute production. While the primary mechanical unit is imported from China, it has been integrated with high-end global components, including a Siemens control panel. This hybrid configuration aims to provide Indian manufacturers with international technical standards backed by domestic support and a New Delhi-based facility.
The machine distinguishes itself through a focus on structural stability and continuous operation. According to company representative Avinash Wagh, the primary unique selling point is the integrated online collector system. Unlike traditional setups that require frequent interruptions for manual adjustments or waste removal, this unit features an online machine design. This allows for a seamless workflow where the operator does not have to stop the machine repeatedly, reducing downtime and increasing throughput.
The machine features a gimbal drive system and a specialised heater base, both of which contribute to the machine’s high-speed capabilities. The automation allows for precise quantity control, where operators can input specific batch sizes such as 30 or 50 units. Once the quantity is set, the machine automatically processes the material and outputs the finished liner for collection.
