Multitec targets to sell 20 machines this year

Faridabad-based narrow web flexo printing press manufacturer, Multitec is targeting to sell 20 machines this year as compared to the 14 machines sold last year.

Amit Ahuja, director, Multitec Aids, said, “We are in press manufacturing business from 2002, in 2008 we introduced Ecoflex, a model with small length and new technologies. 45 out of more than 70 customers of narrow web flexo printing presses are using Ecoflex. We supplied 14 printing presses last year and are targeting for 20 presses this year.”

The upgraded version of the machine will be launched at LabelExpo India 2012 which will cater to the medium and high level printers. Ecoflex press can be used to print labels, tags, flexible packaging and cartons. Its modular design and, precise and rigid construction provides the versatility and reliability necessary for the most difficult label jobs.
 
As the company exports 25% of its total production of label printing presses, there are more than 45 label printers using Ecoflex narrow web flexo printing press around the world.
 
“We face multiple competition in the market as the people demand European quality and features with Chinese prices. Our major competitors are Chinese machine manufacturers, the refurbished imported and brand new imported printing presses’ suppliers,” he added.
 
The Multitec Ecoflex flexographic press can be assembled to customer specifications in various widths including 330 and 450 mm, and is constructed to provide a superior foundation for quality printing and converting.

DM Printers, Mumbai; Kumar Labels, Delhi; Printrays, Jalandhar and SGRE, Bangalore are some of the Ecoflex users.

Vivek Shembekar, managing partner at DM Printers at Mumbai said, “We commissioned eight-colour Ecoflex around three years ago and it has lived up to my expectations. We do self adhesive labels for pharma and agro industry .”
