Acme Rolltech | Stand N14
Experts say, ceramic anilox rollers are the best. However, these are also expensive and need to be imported. Addressing this snag, Acme Rolltech decided to build infrastructure to manufacture ceramic anilox rollers in India. This Labelexpo, Acme will uncover locally made ceramic anilox rollers for label applications. With the convenience of local availability, the label printers can save on import duties and delivery time. The biggest USP is lesser delivery time and landed price.

Armor’s Inkanto AXR 1 resin ribbon claims to be extremely durable. So much so that the information printed with AXR 1 remains legible regardless of the conditions of abrasion, handing, scratching, solvent, heat or cold, according to the manufacturer. The ribbon is compatible with most label materials.

The adhesive major is set to uncover two new products: Swiftmelt 1908, and Lunamelt PS 4015. The Swiftmelt 1908 was launched in India in the early 2018, and the Lunamelt PS 4015 will be launched at the show. The Swiftmelt 1908 is a hotmelt adhesive delivering strong pressure sensitive adhesive performance on holographic labels whereas Lunamelt PS 4015 is a hotmelt pressure sensitive adhesive designed for courier bags, and tape and label applications. The Swiftmelt is designed for precise die-cutting performance and strong adhesion on a wide range of substrates, both filmic and paper-based substrates.

Inkmaker | Stand O35
What is common among Essel Propack, Interlabels, and Wintek? They all have deployed Inkmaker’s ink dispensing system. This Italian manufacturer will enlighten the label converters about the advantages of using automatic ink dispensing system. Shashi Nair of Inkmaker says, instant colour reproduction, absolute accuracy up to one gram, production of light quantity, major stock reduction, improved stock-management, optimised recycle-management, elimination of waste, management of return ink and increased free space in the factory are some of key benefits of automatic ink dispensers.

Knowell | Stand P28
Knowell will showcase silicone release coats by Momentive. The USP of the product is consistency, low cost and high quality. Chintan Mehta of Knowell says, “Momentive has a wide range of adhesives and release coats which will be of interest to all labelstock manufacturers. Dr Pierre Leveque who is the technical head for this product with an experience of more than 20 years in this industry will be present at the show.”

Poma Industrial (Shanghai) Co | Stand G5
A relatively new China-based company, established in 2010, launched the UR 330 in 2016. The company claims that the UR 330 is a resin type ribbon suitable for PET,PE, and labels of different types. Poma reckons that it’s not just a slitting company, but a real manufacturer of thermal transfer ribbon with a well-equipped factory. “We can control price and quality, and our customers know that,” says the company.

Soham Technologies | Stand A33
Soham is a multi supplier of UV/IR lamps, foil and foil adhesive, anilox rollers, doctor blade and end seals, but at the show it will focus on what it calls two innovative products – anilox rollers from Anilox Laser Technology and end seals. Nano Technology anilox can be used for various types of flexo print application, reducing the library of anilox stock. Ani-Max anilox eliminates ink-spitting, which causes ink waste. Soham says, its latest special quality end seals are an economical replacement for some reputed end seals for chambered doctor blades. The underlining message at the Soham stand will be: save cost.

Uflex | Stand K10
The three-decade-old Indian major in flexible packaging will be showcasing its brand new offering at the show. The new labels with lens are aimed at brand enhancements. It can be registered as per the customers requirement, is completely biodegradable and sustainable, enhances shelf appeal and Uflex claims, it is different from the current market offerings. Even better, it can used for other packaging formats too, cartons for example. That’s not all. There’s more in the labels at the Uflex stand particularly for those who think counterfeiting is a major threat and is affecting their brands and businesses resulting in loss of sales volumes.

Alpna Visual Packaging Aids | Stand Q42
Alpna’s flagship UV and LED curing system is an enabler to many flexo and offset printing firms. The company will showcase its “tried and trusted” mercury UV and LED UV systems for label presses and sheetfed offset presses. With over two decades of experience in the segment, Alpna has achieved more than 2,500 installations in India and overseas. Some of the marquee names in its clientele are Edlemann Packaging, KCL Limited, Parksons Cartamundi, Kumar Printers, Premier Paper Products, Print-Vision, and Award Packaging, to name a few.

Dizario Industries | Stand J42
Dizario’s  LED UV curing system, which was unveiled in 2016, has since then acquired 20 users including the likes  of Geeta Press, Print Best, Diamond, BC Packers, SKG Graphics, and Gandhi Traders. Its easy-to-install and compact design gives it an edge over its counterparts in the market, says Sachin Kumar of Dizario. “Only one LED cassette is required for four colour stations. The life of the diode is 25,000 working hours and hence it contributes to about 80% power saving.”

GEW (EC) | Stand H9
GEW’s latest multi-point UV monitor (mUVm) is a must-see. This device continuously measures UV intensity across the web. This is vital to avoid the risks of and under cured product reaching the customer. According to GEW, it’s highly reliable and a cost-effective solution. It is now possible to generate a UV curing certificate for every batch, by recording live outputs for every lamp. The new monitor is designed to comply with a broad range of European legislation on food contact packaging. In addition to this, GEW’s flagship E2C lamp head will be at the show. It is a low energy UV curing system for narrow web presses.
