Labelexpo 2023: Epson debuts L-4733AW

At Labelexpo Europe 2023, Epson has showcased its extended range of SurePress label presses. Among them is the L-4733AW, which is a significant upgrade to the SurePress 4000 series.

Additionally, the SurePress L-6534VW is on display, which features CMYK and white ink, as well as either orange ink or in-line digital varnish. Visitors can witness its capabilities in combination with an inline GM DC330 Mini compact label finisher.

Nayak explained, “With advanced features like automated head cleaning and nozzle health verification, an optional inline spectrometer, and increased film printing production over previous models, this turnkey solution is a game-changer. Plus, it uses water-based AQ4 inks, including white ink for clear and metallic films, that meet the latest safety standards and regulations. With Epson's MicroPiezo inkjet technology, the L-4733AW delivers spot-on colour accuracy and gradients required for high-quality prime labels and packaging.”

The SurePress L-4733AW can handle substrates ranging from 3.15-inch to 13-inch wide. It comes with operational and RIP workflow training and software.

“The L-4733AW is the only digital press in its class, with white ink and produces brand-quality, pressure-sensitive labels and thin films at an industrial standard that allows you to impress even your toughest branded customers,” said Nayak.

Additionally, Epson has unveiled new cloud-enabled ColorWorks label printers. This results from a partnership with Loftware, a cloud-based enterprise labelling and artwork management provider.
