The award haul is a testimony to the traction in label segment in India. The standout Indian company was Pragati Flexo which received three awards for alcoholic label, pharmaceutical label and cartons for Coeur de Lion; Arshonil Rasayanam; and Cubraxis M 5mg - 20 Tabs respectively.

An elated Hemanth Paruchuri of Pragati Flexo said, "We are happy to win three awards. It was reassuring to know that the quality levels in our market are on par with the best of the world. Our aim is to someday win a 'Best of Show' award."

The 'Best in Show' and the 'Marketing/End-Uses Group' awards went to Collotype Labels USA for its Le Pitch label. Talking about the winning label, chairman of the judging panel Tony White said, "we were extremely impressed not only by the technical excellence of the label, but also by its artistic appearance."

Most of the winners from this year’s competition will be entered in the World Label Awards competition which will take place just before Labelexpo USA from 11 to 13 September 2012.
