Speaking about the certification Tim Baechle, CEO, Idealliance said, "This certification recognises extraordinary industry-changing automation because it is innovation that is exactly like having an expert and auditor engineered right into the press or printing system."

According to Idealliance, the certified systems would require no human intervention nor any external tools. These systems through automation are said to minimise waste, significantly increases profitability and introduces one file, one separation, one calibration, for the entire print workflow to realise remarkable similar visual appearance and the ability to 'truly print anywhere'.

These certified systems do all of this automatically, at the fingertips of the end-user. The system can not only calibrate itself, but also monitoring output in real-time, on every press run.

"We are focused on transforming our industry to create the greatest efficiencies that lead to cost reductions and increased profitability for everyone in the supply chain—focused on process control and closing/eliminating gaps in the industry by spurring automation and standardisation," he added.

The company believes, facilities large and small with certified presses will have the ability to share colour quality conformance automatically to print buyers, brand owners, 3rd party auditors, and quality assurance teams. The process can take place without the need for physical inspection of press runs, physical contract proofs, waiting for approvals, or expensive colour corrections.
