Kashmir-based Fumbh Designs has become the first printing company in Jammu and Kashmir to invest in the HP Latex 730W, marking a milestone for the region’s commercial wide-format printing market. The installation was supplied and commissioned by HG Solutions, North India’s sole channel partner for HP Latex technology.

Explaining the investment, the team at Fumbh Designs said the company already operates multiple printing systems across technologies, including Ricoh digital production presses and monochrome presses. However, it was looking for a compact, roll-to-roll solution that combined versatility, high print quality and sustainability. The HP Latex 730W was selected to meet these requirements.

The wide-format printer features white ink capability, enabling the company to deliver high-impact signage and visual communication for the premium local market. The system offers strong colour vibrancy, opacity and consistency, allowing graphics to perform effectively on dark and transparent substrates.

Following the installation, Fumbh Designs has expanded its application portfolio to include canvas prints, custom wallcoverings, vehicle wraps, window films, decals on transparent and coloured media, and eco-friendly indoor decor. Canvas printing has emerged as a key growth area, driven by rising demand from interior decor projects, hotels and artistic installations.

Canvas prints produced on the HP Latex 730W deliver high colour depth, fine detail and a refined finish. Using water-based latex inks, the prints are odourless, crack-resistant and instantly dry, allowing immediate stretching, framing and installation without compromising durability.

The investment reflects Fumbh Designs’ focus on innovation, quality and sustainability. With the addition of HP Latex technology, the company aims to offer brands, businesses and institutions across the region consistent colour accuracy, premium finishes and printing standards aligned with international benchmarks.
