Neil Felton, CEO at Fespa, said, “A year on from the Fespa census, interested printers are turning into action, as we saw the tremendous buzz at the Fespa Textile halls in Amsterdam."

Felton, added, "Today, digital accounts only a small proportion of all textile printing, but this is forecast to grow substantially in the years ahead, with estimates suggesting that digital could account for five percent of textile printing by 2020, up from two percent today. Clearly, that’s a significant diversification opportunity for printers already invested in digital output technology and supporting workflows.”

The conference will provide print service providers with an insight about the diverse market segments of digital textile printing, technical guidance to address the opportunity and updates on the latest technological developments in machinery, software, inks and textiles.

At the conference, some of the speakers are Ron Gilboa, who will summarise the technical and market drivers in digital textiles, evidence for current market sizes and where the markets are likely to be going ahead in five years. And Fulvio Alvisi who will talk about the challenges and opportunities for textile designers, relevant trends in textile design.

The delegates will have access to research which has been conducted amongst industry experts to fully understand the various sectors:

• Textile and décor (Apparel and decor)
• Industrial (automotive and carpet)
• Soft Signage (sign and display)
• DTG (direct to garment)

Felton said, "The conference has been designed to help members of Fespa’s global speciality printing community realise the growth opportunities in digital printing on textile substrates for multiple applications."
