Epson introduces three new SureColor SC-S series at Media Expo Delhi

Epson has introduced three new SureColor 64-inch presses –S40670, S60670 and S80670. All the three employ Epson’s advanced PrecisionCore printhead, Epson’s proprietary advanced image processing technology Precision Dot, and the new Epson UltraChrome GS3 eco-solvent ink.

The S40670 and S60670 print CMYK while the S80670 is a 10-colour printer with red and option of white or metallic silver packs. While the S40670 can print at a speed of 58.4 sq/m per hour and the S60670 at 95.3 sq/m per hour, depending on the number of passes, the speed of the S80670 varies depending on the number of colour and passes the print is taken at.

Speaking to PrintWeek India, Epson’s Ashutosh Tripathy said, “The output speed is great, plus the wide colour gamut delivers outstanding quality with sharp images.”

Present at the stand was Epson’s upper northern region representative K Dogra, chief executive at Dynamik Business Systems. He said, “Pick up any media of up to 1.0 mm thickness for application in the indoor and outdoor commercial printing, and these presses will deliver colours consistent across the media.

Other SC-S series features include an automatic media alignment and setup, which allows for quick switching between media types, and an automatic printhead cleaning. “This newly developed fabric printhead wiper system virtually eliminates printhead maintenance,” said Tripathi.

Epson has installs close to five printers in a month in North India.
