With this landmark sale, Druck & Bindung Machinery further strengthens its global credibility

This landmark transaction marks the first-ever global sale of Magnabind’s Layflat Imagebook Series photobook binding solution, underscoring Druck & Bindung Machinery Corp’s emergence as a serious global contender in this premium segment and its journey toward building globally competitive, high-end bookbinding and finishing solutions.

Notably, Medio Pliego is a repeat and valued customer of Druck & Bindung Machinery. In the previous year, the company had invested in three Megabound bookbinding machines supplied by Druck & Bindung, including the Megabound casing-in plus machine, Megabound joint forming press JF-500, and the Megabound twin case corner rounding machine.

The decision to further invest in the Layflat Imagebook-3000 stems directly from Medio Pliego’s impeccable experience with Druck & Bindung as a reliable supplier with robust quality machine build, performance reliability, and robust after-sales service commitments — a key differentiator in long-term capital equipment partnerships.

Medio Pliego is widely recognised in Mexico and the broader Latin American print market for its advanced production capabilities. The company operates HP Indigo 10000 and HP Indigo 12000 digital presses, enabling it to deliver world-class quality in short-run and premium print applications. Additionally, the company caters extensively to the labels and packaging segments, offering integrated print and finishing solutions for brand owners, publishers, creative agencies, and packaging clients.

The Layflat Imagebook-3000 has been selected to support Medio Pliego’s growing demand for high-end LayFlat photobooks and Imagebooks, where flawless opening, strong yet flexible spines, accurate page registration, and automation-driven productivity are critical. Designed for industrial-scale operations, the machine aligns perfectly with Medio Pliego’s focus on premium output and operational efficiency.

Rananjay Anand, director, Druck & Bindung Machinery, highlighted the strategic importance of this transaction. “Placing the first global Magnabind Layflat Imagebook Series machine with an existing customer like Medio Pliego is a powerful validation of our technology, service philosophy, and long-term partnership approach. This milestone reinforces our commitment to building globally competitive solutions backed by dependable support.” Anand noted.

With this landmark sale, Druck & Bindung Machinery further strengthens its global credibility, positioning Magnabind as an emerging international brand in premium layflat photobook binding solutions, while reinforcing its reputation as a trusted long-term partner for leading print houses worldwide.
