Devendra Prints & Packaging gets its second Ricoh

Rithik Khokhar of Devendra Prints & Packaging said, “We installed the Ricoh 7200 last year and we were impressed with the robustness and production quality of the machine. It is an extended colour gamut-ready machine. Right now we are using CMYK with white but it can be expanded up to 11 colours. To meet our increasing demand for prints, we decided to invest in the Ricoh 9200 this year. We are using both machines for commercial and packaging jobs. Packaging’s stake is less but we are producing packaging jobs on this.”

The company has been associated with Monotech Systems for more than a decade now. “We have multiple digital print production engines from Monotech. We have an honest and trustworthy partnership. After-sales service is important for a piece of capital equipment and Monotech supports us. The company also supports us on the application side. Monotech’s application development team is very helpful,” Khokhar added.

A second generation of the family-owned business, Rithik Khokhar is a management graduate and runs the company with his mother, Sweety.

Established in 1998 as a photocopy centre, the company gradually ventured into multicolour printing equipped with digital and offset printing presses. The digital segment is equipped with Canon, Epson, Konica Minolta, HP, Ricoh and Xerox; and the offset segment is equipped with Adast, Heidelberg and Komori.

Sweety said, “Our aim is to provide the entire packaging and printing solutions from under one roof and we are working to fulfil the goal. Digital technology has limitations for long-run jobs and that’s why we needed offset to cater to the long-run jobs segment. Now, we are in a condition that we can’t run our operations with individual technology. We have installed a new Komori Enthrone four colour 29-inches offset printing press recently and using it for packaging jobs. We are printing up to 350-gsm board on it.”
