Delhi and north race ahead with 26 nominations

The submissions made by the companies such as PrintExpressions, Replika, International Print-O-Pac, Any Graphics etc. scored high to book their slots in the final shortlist, which was announced on 30 July.

Avantika Printers, Replika Press and Thomson Press have been shortlisted for four categories each, while International Print-O-Pac and Any Graphics have been nominated in three categories.

In the company of the year, Replika Press and International Print-O-Pac are up against Manipal Technologies, ITC Limited, Pragati Offset and Gautam Papers. In the pre-press company of the years, Color Dots Pre-Press from Delhi is pushing Comart Lithographers for a photo-finish.

If that wasn’t enough, last year’s winner of the small printer of the year category – PrintExpressions is back in the shortlist for this year’s award in the same category.  In the race, Genie Prints from Chandigarh is another north-based contender. Similarly in the post-press category, last year’s winner Replika Press is in a tussle with Noida-based International Print-o-Pac, while Mainpal Technologies and Parksons Graphics too are equally strong contenders for the awards.

Any Graphics’ debut submission to the screen printer of the year and poster printer of the year was picked up by several of the jury members as a tough contender for the laurels. Thomson Press and Avantika Press, two biggies of the Delhi-NCR printing industry, have secured their places in the awards this year with four and three nominations, respectively.
