Condé Nast onboards Sonia Kapoor as chief business officer

Condé Nast India has announced the appointment of Sonia Kapoor as chief business officer.

Kapoor will spearhead the focus on advertising revenue targets

In her new role, Kapoor will be responsible for leading the sales teams in defining and delivering on advertising revenue targets, while shaping the company’s sales and marketing strategy and business growth. She will play an integral role in the delivery of all commercial revenue, including digital and print sales, branded content, social, video and events for the company.   

Kapoor will report directly to Sandeep Lodha, managing director, Condé Nast India.  

Sonia Kapoor, whose career spans over 25 years across digital, print, and broadcast media, steps into her new role with a wealth of experience. She has previously made notable contributions to Indian Express and Network 18, where she significantly led The Focus Studio as business head and executive vice president. Her most recent tenure was with Zee Media's Innovation Studio, where she drove the branded content monetisation strategy across all media assets. 

Condé Nast India is home to a number of well-known brands such as Vogue, GQ, Condé Nast Traveller, and Architectural Digest. The company also has a digital presence with Condé Nast's Technology Labs in Bangalore and Chennai, emphasising its focus on creating data-driven technology products and services across its global portfolio.
