Chemline showcases paper cup stocks at Pamex

Chemline, a Delhi-based adhesives and coatings company, is drawing attention at Pamex 2026 with its expanding portfolio of sustainable and India-made solutions. Speaking on Day 3 of the exhibition, Mohammed Rajiv Shaikh, business head of the company, said visitor response has been encouraging, particularly on the second day of the show. “While the first day was comparatively lighter, the second day saw a good footfall and strong engagement from customers,” Shaikh said.

Chemline has traditionally focused on paper packaging and coating solutions, but is now rapidly diversifying. Along with labelstocks manufactured using its own adhesives, the company has recently introduced paper cup stocks featuring water-based barrier coatings. These coatings eliminate the need for conventional PE coatings, making the cups more recyclable, safer for consumers, and environmentally friendly.

The company also offers ready-to-use coated paper cups for customers, depending on their requirements, and is expanding its presence in clay-coated kraft (CCK) paper.

Chemline is also positioning itself as one of the leading Indian manufacturers of Metallocene-based paper bookbinding adhesives, an area where few domestic players have achieved consistent success. This new product has been getting a good response and is what the company is betting on for growth in 2026.

Reflecting on business performance, Shaikh noted that 2025 has been a steady year, with the company continuing to recover and grow post-Covid. “We have added many verticals; we have a very good team across India and have healthy export operations,” he said.

Chemline currently exports to over 40 countries across the Middle East, Europe, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and Africa. Looking ahead to 2026, the company is focusing strongly on sustainability-driven products and increasing exports to contribute to the growth of the Indian economy.

Rather than a single flagship offering, Chemline positions multiple ‘star products’ across different verticals. Its label stock solutions have received approvals from major industry players such as ITC, while its cup stock products are approved by brands like CCD. In addition, the company manufactures jelly glue in India as an alternative to imported Chinese products, further strengthening its domestic manufacturing footprint.

Chemline is also in discussions with OEMs, machine manufacturers, and dealers for potential partnerships. On the innovation front, the company is working towards approvals for food packaging applications, including fast-food boxes and sweet boxes, intending to shift customers away from film-based and pre-coated materials to more sustainable options.

With most of its existing customers already engaged at the show, Chemline expects the remaining days of Pamex to focus on new opportunities and future collaborations. “We’ve been in this industry for over three decades, so the relationships are strong. What matters now is how these discussions convert into long-term opportunities,” Shaikh said.
