Campaign Asia finds Samsung as Asia’s most favourite brand

Campaign Asia released the 15th edition of Asia’s Top 1000 Brands for 2018 and named Samsung as Asia’s most favourite brand for the seventh year in a row.

The Top 1000 produced by Campaign Asia-Pacific in partnership with Nielsen lists the top brands in the region based on a survey carried out in 14 countries with New Zealand added to the country list for the first time. The online survey was conducted from 16 March-11 April 2018.

The study encompassed 15 major categories (alcohol, financial services, automotive, retail, apparel & accessories, restaurants, food, beverage, consumer electronics, home appliances, courier services, media and telecommunications, sports, transportation/travel and leisure, and household and personal care) and 81 sub-categories.

Apart from Samsung, the top 10 included several home appliances and consumer electronic companies like Apple, Sony, Panasonic, LG and Philips.

Google is the biggest gainer in the top 10 this year with a jump to the seventh spot from 13 in the previous year, breaking into the top 10 for the first time since 2011. Philips also covered major grounds to round off the top 10 ( was ranked 20 in 2017).

India specific ranking, insight and analysis of the survey is expected to be released on 23 July 2018.
