Bizongo introduces direct purchase of PPE on its website

Mumbai-based B2B packaging marketplace, Bizongo, has announced the launch of a direct purchase facility of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) products on its website specifically catering to smaller businesses. Customers could be able to view product images and details along with quality certifications, receive auto-generated quotes in real-time based on product selection, and make payments via online payment gateway Razorpay.

Commenting on the initiative, Ankit Tomar, co-founder and CTO of Bizongo said, “As various lockdown measures are getting eased and the economy is opening up, enterprises, both public and private, need to be ready to provide adequate protective equipment to their workers to ensure their safety. Our latest offering is to aid these measures so that the wheels of the economy are kept running while protecting those at the frontlines who are making it possible.”

According to Bizongo, the platform is equipped to give a prospective buyer visibility on estimated time of delivery before placing the order of PPEs and tracking the order once the order is placed. Moreover, sales support would be provided to buyers via phone and email.

“We designed this service for enterprise buyers such as smaller offices and clinics to help them make their purchase decisions with the right information at their disposal. This service minimises the time required for identifying the product quality. It is particularly beneficial for those establishments that want to make smaller and frequent purchases to reduce the inventory at their end,” added Tomar.

Jayakumar TK, a doctor from Jodhpur, said, "In this time of crisis, Bizongo has made it easy for us doctors by supporting us and providing us with PPE kits. They delivered our requirement within five days and were extremely responsive during the process."

Bizongo has so far delivered more than 10 lakh PPE kits across 5,500 localities in the country servicing 164 organisations. The recipients of the PPE kits and products include public and private healthcare service providers, reputed NGOs, and private sector organisations.
