Founded by Laxman and Meera Dhage, L&M Innovative Publications operates as a publishing house serving educational institutions across Maharashtra, including government and private Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), bookshops, and state government departments. The company also produces educational charts and instructional material.

The business operates from a 1,500-sqft facility in Nanded, with production and office functions split across two floors. It runs two shifts daily and employs eight people across workshop and administrative roles. Prior to investing in in-house binding, the company outsourced book manufacturing to Hyderabad, which resulted in higher logistics costs, delivery delays, and wastage of around 10%.

The installation of the SigLoch Zen has allowed L&M to bring binding operations in-house. According to the , this has significantly improved book quality while reducing binding-related wastage to near zero. The consistent output has also enabled higher production volumes and on-time deliveries.

L&M said it chose SigLoch over imported alternatives due to machine robustness and service support. While evaluating equipment in New Delhi and Mumbai, the company decided against Chinese-made perfect binders, citing concerns over build quality. Bindwel’s India-made machines, faster service response, and remote troubleshooting support were key factors in the decision.

The company highlighted machine speed, automation, side gluing, and the three-roller binding mechanism as critical features that contributed to consistent binding quality. It added that finished books show no spine reversal or customer rejection.

One of the notable projects completed on the SigLoch Zen was the printing and binding of 1,000 copies of the Bhagavad Gita in Marathi, with a spine thickness of 20-mm. The company said the job demonstrated the machine’s ability to handle demanding book specifications reliably.

L&M rated Bindwel’s technical support highly, citing quick response times and effective problem resolution. Sharing a testimonial, Dhage said, "SigLoch Zen is an excellent addition to digital printing infrastructure and is exceeding our expectations and satisfaction. Our overall productivity has increased with almost Zero wastages and increase in print volume because of SigLoch Zen. The support from Team Bindwel is excellent with a fast response & resolution time. I am super delighted with SigLoch Zen."
