The innovation showcased included a point-of-purchase (POP) type label, on-demand colour inkjet portfolio, food reclosure and reseal and colour changing tamper-evident labels. “As competition expands, our innovations will deliver new business opportunities and a healthy bottom line for customers,” Anil Sharma, managing director for materials group at Avery Dennison, said.

The POP type labels features a film and adhesive construction with gum patterns designed to eliminate oozing and increase conversion speed. The label also incorporates a special back coating on the polypropylene film, which eliminate a common problem in the industry. “It resists the migration of low molecular-weight components and processing aides from the tyre surface, a common problem in the industry,” Sharma added.

The on-demand colour inkjet portfolio offers a solution that delivers flexibility and visual identification in variable information printing, while the innovative food reclosure and reseal solution incorporates FDA-approved adhesive.

To tackle the tampering menace, Avery’s temper-evident labels changes colour once the box is slit and resealed. “This solution enables brand owners to protect both the short- and long-term value of their brands,” said Sharma.

The Avery stand was abuzz with activities with representatives explaining the benefits of their products to the converters.

Sharma said, “We are committed to providing innovations that enhance efficiency and reduce environmental impact while also supporting growth. That’s what the theme, inspiring innovation and sustaining growth is all about.”
