Speaking at the exhibition, Monish Kumar, senior service engineer at Alpna, said that apart from the Rhino Dexa, the company displayed its Mercury UV systems, LED curing solutions, and machine attachments designed to meet diverse customer requirements. Alpna also highlighted its roller coaters and analogue coaters capable of handling varnish coating, UV coating, and glass coating applications.
In addition to production equipment, Alpna demonstrated lab cure and sample testing machines that allow customers to test inks for both UV and LED applications. The company also presented flexo cassettes compatible with eight-colour and 10-colour wheel printing machines, including high-speed Gallus printing systems.
Reflecting on the overall experience at Pamex, Kumar noted that while the exhibition saw good visitor quality, it did not quite match the momentum of the previous edition. “We have closed a few deals at the show and received a significant number of enquiries,” he said, adding that details of major deals would be shared once machines are supplied and installations are completed.
Alpna’s stall attracted both repeat customers from Gujarat and South India, as well as new prospects. Kumar described the visitor profile as encouraging and appreciated the overall stall quality at the exhibition, calling it a positive platform for industry interaction.
Looking ahead, Alpna is preparing for a strategic shift as it enters its 26th year in the industry. The company believes the time is right for technological upgrades in a sector that has seen limited innovation over the past decade. “It’s time to upgrade,” Kumar said, pointing to evolving customer expectations and market demands.
Alpna is actively exploring collaborations with overseas companies, including GEW, Autoprints Machinery, and Alliance Printech, with potential partnerships expected to take shape by the next PrintPack or Pamex.
A key focus for the company’s future roadmap is transitioning from a purely customised, customer-specific model to a more consumer-based technology approach, aimed at making its solutions accessible to a wider user base.
Kumar also shared feedback for the exhibition organisers, suggesting that increased promotion and advertising could help boost footfall across all days of the event. “Footfall was strongest on the 28th, but it could have been more consistent,” he noted.
Alpna has been associated with Pamex for several editions, with this year marking its seventh participation as a company, reaffirming its continued commitment to the Indian printing and packaging market.
