Women in Print: Jyoti Manocha

Jyoti Manocha is the senior executive for co-ordination at Rave India in Delhi and has 10 years of printing experience. The 32 year old enjoys life with her husband and two chubby kids. Watching movies in cinema halls is something she really loves to do.

Why did you get into printing?
My interest in graphic design led me into printing.

Who would play you in a movie about your life?   
Kajol. (smiles) I love her independent spirit.

What would you most like to print?    
Children books for free distribution.

Who do you admire most in the industry?
Both my bosses, Rakesh Bhatagar, managing director for his dynamism and Bhavnesh Kanwar for his gentleness.

What is your favourite phrase or saying?
“Please speak fast since I have no time”.

What is the strangest job you’ve ever done?
(chuckles) Being a mother.

You would like to be stuck on a desert island with?
Aamir Khan.

What piece of kit would you like to see invented?
A machine which does kitchen work.   

Most embarrassing moment?
Entering the marital kitchen for the first time without knowing how to cook.

Who would be your favourite party guests     
My inspiration and my friend Neena Shah.

What was your childhood obsession?
Being a teacher.

How would you like to be remembered?
With a smile.

Precious. So live it with full joy and energy.
