Star Product: Sonora XP process-free plate
Sonara XP is an upgrade to Thermal Direct and is capable of faster exposure and image visibility. “It’s much faster than its predecessor,” says Viswanathan. Once exposed one can take it straight to the offset press. Viswanathan says, “No processing is required.”
According to Ramani, the customers were looking for a solution that was more productive, eliminated processes and at the same time wish care environment. “The USP of Sonara is – no processor required. And by eliminating a step, we are making our customers more productive. Again, the makeready time is also like any other plates.”
The one feature that keeps it ahead of the competition is the latent image visibility up to 10pt font, says Viswanathan.
