Rahul Soni, Print O Pack

What is your idea of a perfect print firm in India?
One that is always abreast with the latest technology (equipment + workflow).

A trait you most deplore in our industry?
Lack of a single collective and cohesive voice representing the whole industry.

What is the quality you seek when you hire?
Integrity, long-term orientation and good problem-solving skills.

Describe your day?
Trying and reaching the factory at the earliest in the morning. Then have daily production meetings during the first half. Customer calls, procurement planning etc. in the second half.

What is your most ‘wow’ moment?
Paragliding from the second highest site (5000 feet above ground level) in the world.

One print blunder you made?
Succumbing to the customer’s pricing pressure and ending up losing money on a high volume job.

What is the greatest strength of your printing firm?
Ability to ramp up and ramp down operations.

Which living print person do you most admire?
My father, Ajay Kumar Soni. I admire his passion, perseverance and integrity.

Which print technology is the future?
I am very fascinated by flexo due to end-to-end inline operations. This makes it efficient and scalable. I would love to diversify into flexo, if an opportunity comes our way.

If you could change one thing about your printing plant ...
Make additional warehousing space.

What do you most value in your customers?
Their trust, faith and loyalty towards us.
