Hall 6, Stand A59

Baumann-Wohlenberg will debut three new cutting systems for different levels of production. The first line, for medium volumes, features automatic front-table feeding and a new automatic cutting system with lateral alignment pusher and a sheet stabiliser. The new “economy” cutting system incorporates the 92 ASE cutter with automatic waste disposal, with the BSH 2-450 pile hoist, the new BSB 2e automatic jogger and the new BA2 Ne unloader. This system suits the 50cm/70cm format. A high-volume system will be shown using a Wohlenberg 132 with a new knife-change system, and the new Superglide air-cushion table. It uses a BA3 unloader with automatic format recognition and a new automatic BASA 3 jogging system.

Hall 10, Bobst A04

When it comes to shelling out money on high capital-cost finishing kit, Bobst Group hopes customers will focus on total cost of ownership (TCO) for printing and converting machinery. As part of this philosophy, it will also present machines that it says will “reduce waste and set-up time, and increase accuracy and output”.

CP Bourg
Hall 13, Stand B69

If you’re in Hall 13, make sure to check out Bourg’s CMT 330 three-knife trimmer. It has been designed for finishing on-demand digital printing, and handles soft-cover, perfect bound books at up to 400 books per hour. The CMT 330 is fully automatic, but can be manually controlled. It is possible to connect the CMT 330 in-line with the Bourg Binder BB3002.

Duplo International
Hall 13, Stand B53
In the world of cutting, Duplo’s solution is the DC-745 with Integrated Folding System. This multi-finishing machine was recently released and is targeting high-volume digital colour printers. It has integrated controls in one pass for slitting, cutting, creasing and perforating in two directions, and can slit-score greetings cards.

Hall 1

Heidelberg will be release its new Varimatrix 82 CS die cutter (CS – cutting and stripping). Able to cut at rates up to 8,000 sheets per hour, the Varimatrix 82 CS suits the Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 75 for packaging printers. Heidelberg will also show the Dymatrix 106 Pro diecutter with a new chase changer. This speeds up the exchange of different cutting dies.

Horizon International
Hall 13, Stand D36

Horizon will have several guillotines in operation inline during its presentations of full booklet, digital print and flexible binding solutions.

Hall 2, Stand B32

The new ProCut 76 die cutter will be launched in Kama’s “Commercial Centre”. Claimed to be the world’s first flat-bed diecutter for sheets up to 760x600mm, it will be demonstrated with a hot foil stamping system and a universal chase for dies of all sizes. Applications include cutting, creasing, perforating, kiss-cutting, cold embossing, hot foil stamping, combined embossing and hot foil, and hologram stamping.

Lasermax Roll Systems
Hall 6, Stand C74

New at Drupa 2012 will be the Lasermax Roll Stack 2220 system, which includes the Cutter c22 and Stacker s20. It features dual rotary knives for variable strip cutting at speeds up to 450ft/min. The double strip cut is used to remove cleaning lines from many inkjet printers or to create documents with bleed edges. The system can operate inline or offline with digital printers.

Morgana Systems
Hall 8b, Stand A65

Morgana will demonstrate several bookletmakers and trimmers, including the new DocuMaster MFC booklet system, as well as business card cutters/slitters for short-run digital print applications.

Hall 2, Stand A01

This year, Heidelberg is giving over Hall 2 for its partner companies, such as guillotine specialist Polar. The manufacturer will host its own 860m² stand for the first time. It will present 10 systems and eight standalone machines, with a focus on networking. The highlight will be three models of the new “N” high-speed cutters – the 56 NET, 66 NET and 80 ECO. Polar will also debut the new BC 330 three-knife trimmer.

Watkiss Automation
Hall 13, Stand B70

The UK-based manufacturer will demonstrate the Hydrocut 520 guillotine on its stand. The cutting kit is designed primarily for inplant and digital print applications, with a 52cm cutting width, full electronic light guarding, hydraulic operation, and keypad control with memory.

Folding and Folder-Gluing

Hall 1

Heidelberg will showcase the new CCT machine control system (Compact Control Technology) with the Stahlfolder Ti 52 and the Stahlfolder Ti 36. This system makes both buckle plate folding machines more user friendly, and significantly reduces makeready times for each job, the company claims.

Horizon International
Hall 13, Stand D36

The new CRF-362 creaser folder will be introduced at Drupa 2012. This system can fold products without image cracking on both lighter and cover weight stocks. Up to 10 creases are possible on one sheet with up or down creasing possible in one pass.

Hall 2, Stand B32

Kama will show the ProFold 74 folder gluer in conjunction with a pre-breaking device, cold glue application system and a long pressing belt. New applications for the ProFold 74 also include a creasing, cutting and perforating unit.

Hall 12/Stand C25
This Swidish-based supplier of laminating/mounting and gluing machine will be launching a fully automatic Lamina Crash Lock gluer during the show. Lamina claims that its the most compact gluer on the market that can manage a variety of material including crash lock function. The machine will be in full production mode during Drupa. Besides the Crash Lock, a fully automatic non-stop gluing and folding machine for one piece or two piece boxes will also be on the stand. The machine works with two heavy duty vacuum controlled belt feeders which can be used to feed in one or two piece boxes.

Hall 06, Stand A39
