Please describe your company.
Subhashish Paper Products is a folding carton manufacturer, which caters to FMCG and pharma industries with the vision to supply innovative and cost-effective packaging solutions to its clients.

When did you start to use DGM die-cutter?
October 2020.

What are the properties of DGM die-cutter you like?
The latest technology in feeder and delivery with CE certification. It has a high pile feeder (1,650-mm) and can die-cut both board (80 to 2,000-gsm) and three-ply sheets (up to B-flute). Plus, the machine is easy to use. Even machine is equipped with both side pull and push type side-lay which is mechanically convertible and no need to take out pull and fix push. This and many more features helped us with a quick changeover for better productivity.

Why did you decide to use the DGM die-cutter?
There were three factors for first buying — justified cost, local service and spare part support in India; and all the latest features compared to other brands. Later repeat orders are the success of previous installation performance.

Did you look at other similar products?
We looked at three other brands before deciding to buy the DGM but were convinced to go for DGM.

What are the features that tilted the favour in this?
Quick and professional support with a well-trained after-sales team and the latest features and sturdiness of the machine.

How much have these features helped you in your production?
Stripping, high pile and mechanically convertible side-lays are the features which have increased our production with less labour and less downtime.

For what applications is the DGM die-cutter used?
It is used for both solid board and three-ply die-cutting, stripping and embossing.

Is there anything that you do not like or can be improved about this?
It’s a perfect machine for the packaging industry with the capability to process 80 to 2,000-gsm solid board and corrugated sheets up to 4-mm thick.

What’s the quality like?
The quality is good. We have been using it for three years and bought one more machine four months back. The repeat order shows our faith in the machine. Maintenance cost is almost negligible.

If a critical printing job has come your way, would you rely on this to see it through?
Yes. We can rely on any kind of job on this machine, especially inline stripping and tight registration.

How easy is it to use and handle?
It’s very easy to use. Being a growing company, this was our first auto-punching machine and our manual machine operators have learned to operate the same now.

Would you say that it offers value for money?
Yes. It offers value for money. This is one of the reasons to stick to DGM. We are comfortable dealing with DGM, as I don’t need to involve myself in every issue. The team down the line communicates and resolves the issues themselves if there are any.

Who do you think the DGM die-cutter is right for?
Any folding carton converter.

Under what circumstances would you recommend it to others?
I would recommend it to everyone. I believe good work should be rewarded. So, why not recommend it to others.
