N610i
The Domino claims that the N610i is the only label press that combines the productivity of flexo printing with the flexibility offered by rapid job change digital technology. Its range of features include industry standard 333-mm print width, up to seven colours (including opaque white), 600-dpi ‘native’ print resolution and operating speeds of up to 75-m/min. As an example of how it could lead to greater sales growth and increased profitability, the N610i can produce up to 2,250-m of product in the same time to required to perform a 30 minute flexo makeready. The Domino N610i can produce 3,018-m an hour at 50-m/min. The label press uses vibrant UV curable inks and its key applications include industrial, security, health and safety, automotive, chemical, personal care and pharmaceutical labels.
Tau 330 RSC
Durst Tau 330 RSC is a single-pass industrial UV inkjet digital press for labels and packaging with Dimatix Samba printhead having 2,048 nozzles per head. The native print resolution is 1,200x1,200-dpi with a minimum droplet size of 2-pl. It comes in eight-colour configurations (CMYK + W + OVG) and can produce close to 80-m/min, irrespective of label size and colors. It is a scalable digital press in terms of web width, speed and color configuration and can print on varied substrates from 20 to 500-microns without pre-coating. The expanded edition of the RSC platform includes dedicated workflow software for Web2Production, Durst’s own prepress software Workflow Label to customise MIS integration software packages, and low migration UV ink for the RSC platform. This new ink set meets compliance with EUPIA and Swiss Ordinance regulations for food and pharma packaging.
SurePress L-4033AW
The Epson SurePress L-4033AW is a short-run digital label press that comes with pre- and post-press options. It capitalises on Epson’s acclaimed MicroPiezo inkjet technology. The L-4033AW has six colours, industrial-quality, and water-based ink set. The L-4033AW includes a seventh white ink to print transparent ‘no-label look’ labels, as well as metallic-type labels. It also includes RIP and colour management tools from Wasatch and X-Rite. The Wasatch SoftRIP provides intuitive workflow controls and the X-Rite photospectrometer bundle allows for the creation of custom ICC profiles. It offers lower makeready costs while offering a wider range of printing solutions and can print on a wide range of standard substrates, including rolls from 3.15 to 13-inches wide. The intuitive touch-screen panel makes digital print simple.
Jetsci–Colornovo
The Jetsci–Colornovo UV inkjet label production press from Monotech Systems is available in various configurations as per the requirements based on colours (CMYK/W), and with print width of 216- and 324-mm. It also comes with customised inline/offline finishing and converting options. It is based on the drop-on-demand UV Inkjet printhead technology from Kyocera, Japan. A 216-mm Colornovo can produce over 150,000-sqmt and a 324-mm press can produce over 250,000-sqmt of jobs per month at a resolution of 600x600-dpi and speeds up to 70-m/min with 10 hours shift per day for 25 days per month. In hybrid UV inkjet, it comes with a complete workflow with the choice of print width and colours. As a standalone solution, the standard system is equipped with web cleaner, corona treatment, static eliminators, and UV inkjet.
